Hi Logos Family 👋

Here is the summary of a great training course named Be Active. Participate from one of the participants that was carried out in Kolin, Czech Republic 🇨🇿 ✌️

The Infopack came into my hands by accident - I wasnt planning a trip with a political context. Before I started my trip, I was afraid. Political participation is usually not in my sphere of activity.
I was convinced that I like to get involved in new things. I decided to go.

When I got there, I noticed that the trainers paid a lot of attention to making us feel comfortable. They treated us as equals, repeating that you are not a coach, you just happen to be one. They also paid a lot of attention to us getting to know each other and working as a team.

The tasks that were set before us were surprising and makes me think a lot. During the training, I was asked many questions ranging from personal to more civic questions.
We spent a lot of time in very interesting discussions where we presented our opinions and arguments, all under the watchful eye of the trainers, who made sure that discussions on more difficult topics did not turn into arguments.
In an interesting way, through games, trainers and other participants, we learned to look at the world of politics from other perspectives.

What drew the attention of many people was how different our needs depends on what country we come from and what culture is there. We discussed skills, values, knowledge and attitude, and what political power actually is. Who has it? What does it manifest itself as? How can we have it? What is our dream country? How do we achieve it? What do we care about?

I was very impressed by the experience of the game Dignityland in which the groups - political parties had to decide what policies would be best for their country. At the end of the exercise there was a vote, which gave us the opportunity to feel how much emotion is involved in the moment of making decisions in this way and how hard it is sometimes to make such decisions.
Classes about social conflicts and all discussions were also of great value for me.

The element that tied the whole trip together was creating our own policies in groups. We worked on it every day. The plan was laid out in such a way that every day we received the necessary elements, which at the end of the day helped us to move the work on our policy forward.

Despite my initial doubts, I can safely say that the trip was extremely inspiring, gave me food for thought and actually created in me a feeling that I can make a difference. I learned a lot. I met many great, committed people.
I plan to incorporate the activities I learned there into my life and create social awareness workshops.
At the end, I attach a poem by Antoni Moskwa, one of the participants:

Usually, the head of a state falls with a crest,
If so, it’s hard to ingest,
even harder to debate,
you win to get arrested
The people may protest for ya,
still the systems gonna digest y’a,
Thus we wrote the words of our manifest,
So well, not to end up in a cell,
With no one to tell, was that brutal?
Finding a gap, is crucial, then to attact, adapt, and make an impact.
Every generation has a role, ours in my head is to overcome the polluted dome,
To fight for a cheaper home for the folks,
not lose yourself in the pursuit for a bankroll,
From me that’s all 😊
