Welcome to the dedicated page for Media Maze: Navigating Together, an inspiring initiative focused on improving media literacy among young people. This KA2 Erasmus+ project was a collaborative effort between our team and our fantastic partners from Arousa Moza, aimed at educating and empowering young individuals through interactive workshops and creative projects.
Project Summary
The project began with a dynamic kickoff meeting where we developed a clear communication strategy, allocated tasks, defined roles, and designed assessment tactics. This meeting laid the groundwork for fruitful collaboration, igniting our collective passion for media literacy.
Project Highlights
- Media Literacy Workshop
Throughout the project, interactive workshops allowed participants to analyze their media habits and discover misinformation circulating about project members. We conducted visits to local media, such as Radio Arosa Cadena Ser and Diario Arousa, where participants gained insights into news production and media awareness. - “Beyond the Surface” Workshop
This workshop fostered critical thinking by engaging participants in interactive activities, such as Media Literacy Bingo. Attendees were able to draw parallels between media literacy and navigating a complex maze, which helped them distinguish between facts and opinions. - Development of Creative Escape Boxes
The project culminated in the creation of two innovative educational escape boxes focused on media literacy. These escape boxes were designed to help young people develop critical skills in an engaging and participatory format.
Educational Materials and Resources
We are excited to have launched handbooks for the escape boxes designed during the project, which provide comprehensive guidance for creating your own educational escape boxes. These materials are intended to help young people develop critical media literacy skills and are available for consultation.
Conclusions
The Media Maze: Navigating Together project has been an enriching journey that has united young individuals from different cultures, fostering learning and civic engagement. We thank all participants and collaborators who made this transformative experience possible.
We hope that the resources created continue to inspire more young people on their path to effective media literacy!
