The “Logos Kids” project is created for children from Ukraine who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war and are currently residing in the city of Poznań.
This project is supported by “Culture Helps,” a project co-financed by the EU’s Creative Europe program and implemented by “Insha Osvita” (UA) and ZUSA (DE). The aim of this project is to provide support, integration, and development for Ukrainian refugees aged 4 to 12 and their parents who are currently in Poland.
The project has several objectives:
- Adaptation to the new socio-cultural environment, which is a crucial element for successful integration. Participants are introduced to the history of Polish culture and traditions to help them adapt more easily to their new conditions.
- Provision of additional education. This goal is achieved through organizing various creative workshops for children, helping them develop their talents. Additionally, an English language club is conducted to contribute to the overall development of the children.
- Preservation of language and traditions. The project is organized in the Ukrainian language, but with the introduction of new Polish words based on the themes of the workshops. This helps participants learn a new language while also not forgetting their native one. Various celebrations will also be held where participants can learn about Polish culture, its traditions, and celebrate Ukrainian holidays that are important to them.
The project operates in the following directions:
- Workshops for children. These sessions focus on integration and child development. The workshops are conducted in Ukrainian with the use of Polish words.
- Cultural events and celebrations. Holidays are organized in collaboration with parents and hold significant importance in preserving cultural heritage and fostering cultural exchange.
- English language clubs for children aged 4 to 12. These clubs aid in integration into European society and improve English language skills.
