Youth Exchanges

Youth exchange (YE) is a meeting of youth coming from different, in majority European countries, during which young people work together on a specific project. The programme promotes non-formal education, based on team-work, tolerance and respect. Youth exchanges develop in participants creativity, innovation, critical thinking and social awareness. By multiple activities, such as workshops, games, debates, etc.. young people are familiarised with different cultures, religions and traditions and encouraged to share ideas and work together towards a common goal.

Youth exchanges are intended for participants aged 13 – 30 years old and last between 5 and 21 days. Accommodation and food are provided. Moreover, the travel cost is covered.

📣We are looking for people from Poland🇵🇱
for Youth Exchange  “When Neighbors Become Friends” in Lithuania 🇱🇹 

📅 When: 17-23 August  2020
🌏 Where: Mažeikiai district, Lithuania

💡Info about the project:
Lithuania and Poland – two neighbouring countries. Once there was one nation, now Lithuanians and Poles seem to move away from each other, from their closest neighbours.

📌 Objectives:
☑️ To generate increased awareness on Erasmus+ Projects.
☑️ To unite Lithuanian and Polish youth for joint activities to make sure they understand that the common history and the present get us all closer to each other rather than separate us.
☑️To enhance civic awareness and historical consciousness.
☑️ To promote civic responsibility and volunteering, participants.
☑️ To learn about the history, culture, unity and differences of two neighbouring countries.
☑️ To improve communicative skills and knowledge of English.
☑️ To promote intercultural dialogue.

👨‍💻👩‍💻Participant’s profile:
- Aged 14-18
- At least an intermediate level of English
- young people who have an active interest in history and culture

💴Finance:
✔️Accommodation and food will be fully covered by the Erasmus+ program

💡Project description: 
The last decade has seen the massive spread of the Internet and new media worldwide, which has led to an expansion and improvement of communication possibilities by overcoming barriers and constraints of time and space (increasing speed and decreasing costs) and a virtually endless possibility of access to information sources. The general objective of the project, therefore, is to encourage the acquisition of new critical awareness by developing knowledge and skills regarding a healthy use of the Internet and new technologies in order to stem and prevent the risks associated with new addictions to the Internet, social networks and smartphones. 

📌 Objectives:
☑️ encouraging the acquisition of new critical awareness by developing knowledge and skills regarding a healthy use of the Internet and new technologies in order to stem and prevent the risks associated with new addictions to the Internet, social networks and smartphones
☑️ starting a cycle of meetings, involving young people between 14 and 25 years old
☑️ launching and managing an online social campaign that spreads the message of the project

The Associazione Elios is an Italian organisation, which promotes non-formal education and youth activities through Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps. It was founded in 2007 by some friends who decided to formalize their passions and their commitment in the field of sport, volunteering, social promotion and university life.

👨‍💻👩‍💻Participant’s profile:
Youngsters aged between 19 and 30 years, residents of EU or non-EU countries:
- with a strong motivation to take part in this project, but no need for any not specific competences
- with a strong spirit of initiative and who want to bet on four months of activities focusing on dialogue and raising awareness among local young people
- experiences in social media management, graphic design and web promotion are welcome.

💴Finance
The project is financed by the European Solidarity Corps programme. During the project following expenses will be covered:
- travel from volunteers’ place of residence to Acireale and back (the amount is calculated by the distance calculator)
- accommodation
- medical insurance, provided by the Erasmus+ Programme
- food and pocket money (Elios will provide a rechargeable card for volunteers with a sum of money that they can spend to buy food and drinks)
- visa costs

We are looking for people from Poland 🇵🇱 (based in Poland) for the project Online Debates powered by Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange!!!

📅 When: 10, 11, 17 or 18 of July 2020 (3 h of debates + 2 h post debate session)
🌏 Where: online

💡Info about the project:

Be a part of Intercultural online debate and connect together in safe online facilitated dialogue to discuss issues that matter to us. Meet with new friends from foreign countries and learn under the guidance of trained Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange trainers. Perfect opportunity to work on your debate skills, to craft a powerful speech, and present yourself like a pro.

After the selection, you would become a member of one of the debate teams. Each debate features two teams of young debaters from the north and south of the Mediterranean who will learn and then present evidence to validate arguments for or against a motion chosen by the participants themselves.
The session is hosted by a Debate Trainer, and the debates are moderated by the two Team Leaders of each team.

After the Online Debates, Debate Team Leaders and their team members will meet again in the Post- Debate Dialogue session one week after the Debate, to reflect on the motions they debated.

All participants will be awarded an online badge for Debate Participants. These badges are EU recognized badges in the frame of the EU Commission project.

📌 Objectives:
☑️ practice of foreign languages
☑️ debate and dialogue techniques
☑️ promotion of common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination.
☑️ soft skill development, including critical thinking and teamwork
☑️ advocacy impact
